The Steffani’s terrace has been a popular place for afternoon cruisers since it opened in 1869. Inside hums the well-managed hotel, run by fourth generation, Daniela and Francesca Märky. Both learned from their legendary father, Peter, and now their mother, Brigitte, keeps a watchful eye. Their hotel was totally completely renovated in 2020. Its 61 rooms and suites have Swiss stone pine paneling, local sgraffito detailing, ski related antiques, and baths have local Valser stone flooring. There are three restaurants: Le Lapin Bleu since 1869 St.Moritz’s first; the Caschölin, for cheese and wine; the Stuva Grill; and two bars. It’s the only four star in town with a pool – plus a whirlpool, sauna, and spa. Add to that the friendly welcoming staff – what more can you ask for? The tortellini – they’re just delicious!
