A TYPICAL EIGHT NIGHT LAND PACKAGE INCLUDES:

Most clients will depart Friday night and arrive Saturday morning in Geneva, Zürich, Venice, or Münich and then when you will transfer to the resort from the airport. In Switzerland, it is by 1st or 2nd class rail depending on hotel rating. Please note Swiss Rail prices are estimated as they are based on August 2021 point-to-point ticket prices as they cannot be accurately priced until within two months of a return date.

A seven night stay at your resort hotel in a standard double room minimally with bath, cable TV, wifi, radio, and direct dial telephone. Many also have LCD cable TV, balconies, terry robes, heated towel racks, safes, hair dryers, and possibly a pool, sauna, fitness, therapeutic spa, etc.

Resort dining includes buffet breakfast and minimally three-course dinner daily. As of late August 2021, all flights to Europe are now possible for vaccinated or tested Americans. They have also adopted a much more passenger friendly due to the virus: their high cancellation and change fees have been dropped, at least for the past year and going forward as of late August ’21.

Package prices are based on the previous two months’ worth of exchange rates averaged through through late June. These rates were used in pricing: $0.89/CHF and $0.80/€. Please note the dollar has weakened due to the virus’ effects on economies. As always, please use the package prices as ballparks. When you call, current exchange rates will be quoted.

Paris is an optional gateway for some of the French and Swiss resorts. If you want to visit the sparkling city on the Seine, call for information.

Hotel prices based on a standard double room rate; if a range of rooms is offered, then it is on the lowest listed price.

Rates for singles, three-in-a-room, children-with-parents, two-week stays, extended extensions, trip insurance, and other variations are available. If alone you may feel comfortable in all hotels but perhaps more so in the informal three stars.

A word to the wise: gym clothes of any sort and running shoes are not welcome in European hotel dining rooms. Four and five star hotels generally prefer a sweater or jacket at dinner.

Other wonderful little hotels and inns are available in Arosa, Cortina, Crans-Montana, La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand, Flims, Gstaad, Igls, Innsbruck, Les Portes de Soleil, Salzburg, Sölden, Stuben, Val Thorens, and Mürren, the third Jungfrau resort.

In recent years, I’ve seen many lovely catered and self catered apartments and châlets. They range in size for families, small groups of friends and family or friends’ reunions. A few have hot tubs (unlike the West, these are quite rare in Europe), private staff with 4x4s and gourmet cuisine; others are self-catered. For example: Zermatt’s only original Swiss châlet accommodates eight to ten with or without catering; Verbier has a romantic châlet just for two; and in Val d’Isère ten can ski-in in a staffed châlet with sauna and steam bath.

Kitzbühel prices include an eighth night at the trendy, eco-friendly four star, Cortiina in Münich. It is very central, an easy walk from the rail station, pedestrian areas, and many notable sites.

To ease final planning, documents will be Fed Ex-ed to clients a week prior to departure.
